Valter Bonča as a professional cyclist
I’m very pleased to announce that we have succeeded in our efforts to prepare Rekreatur participants a superb bicycle service. It’s Bonča Cycling Centre from Idrija, led by none other than former professional cyclist Valter Bonča .
Valter was one of the best Slovenian road cyclists of the last 15 years . In 1992, he became the fourth Slovenian professional ( after Vinko Polončič , Primoz Čerin and Jure Pavlič ) as a contestant of Joly club from Italy. The same year he attended the Olympic Games in Barcelona. His greatest successes : winning the Tour of Austria (1989 and 1992) . In 1994, he appeared at the Giro d’Italia , which ran through Slovenia. In 1995, he won race Tour de Slovenie. In May 2003, he won Grand Prix Maribor ( as a contestant of Perutnina Ptuj club) . In 2006, for the second time in a row, he won the Grand Prix Kranj and on 25th June after wining the national championship at Gabrje, closed his sport path .
During Rekreatur Valter and his guys from Bonča Cycling Centre will be all times between us. Their workshop will be at start-finish area and during “the race” he they will be presented in every checkpoint. Beside professional advices you’ll be able to buy some bike supplies . Believe me that about cycling Valter knows everything. I expect that male cyclist will accede to his service when their impairment is more severe than replacing some cracked tubes . Only in this case you will look like serious rider who is worthy of his support. Male participants of Rekretaur are, of course allowed to aproach with a cracked tube also – we are gentlemens aren’t we
