From the 31st of January to the 3rd of February, the 29th tourism fair NATOUR Alpe Adria will be held in Ljubljana and we will be there  again. This year we will be even more active since you will find us almost everywhere.
In addition to the traditional stand in the hall of the Tourist Association of Slovenia, we will also be in the the place of the Slovene Cyclists Network.
We kindly invite you to a conference ‘The development of the long distance cycling routes in Slovenia (FB), which will take place from 11.00 to 14.00 in the ‘Povodni mož’ hall. You will hear and find out what is going on the cycling infrastructure and network development in Slovenia.

Our guests on stand will be representatives of the Touring Bicycle Section Kranj, which will present you many interesting things. And of course – we will officially announce where this year’s Rekreatur will took place.

Rekreatur 2015 / FINISH!

..The countries from where team memebers of Rekreaur are coming. The INTERNATIONAL LAYER BIKERS team finally filled up and made us international like never before! What we will all experience on the Rekreatur trail is hard to imagine, but I can safely say that international cooperation will be at a very high level.
Students who make up the International Layer Bikers  team have for now exceptional will and a desire to experience Rekreatur. All the rest (bicycles, helmets, slippers and the like) are still to be found and we are all working on it. I believe that on the routes of prologue and stages, they will also receive help from other teams – old members of Rekreatur.

A great challenge will be orientation on the route, which is also a challenge for the organizers. It will be necessary to put themselves in the head of the rider, who is driving for the first time through Davča canyon and is not quite sure whether he is on the right track. Therefore, we will pay special attention to guidance. Offer on the checkpoints should also beat least on the level we are used on.

New teams applied to Rekreatur 2017. So far, there are 8 teams with 40 female and male cyclists registered at Rekreatur 2017. Bactim, owning the orange jersey from Rekreatur 2016 and ‘Čebele&Kolonce’  are experienced participants of former Rekreaturs so the Dutch teams will have a serious challenge to win this year’s prize – the orange jersey of Rekreatur 2017.

This year, the knowledge of one of the foreign languages will be almost a must, since we became very international. Even though we, as organizers, are facing a bigger challenge because of it we are really happy about the path we are taking. We have always wanted to make Rekreatur an international event. There will be some extra challenges involved before, during and after Rekreatur but we are very excited to do it. We are still encouraging you to apply and become a member of Rekreatur cycling fans.

The fearfully expecting became true. Dutch team Oranje Tulpen, that just signed in will soon be followed by Oranje Klompen and Oranje Molen. Their obvious purpose is to acquire an orange jersey. Can Slovenian teams opose them? Depending on the further applications but I’m afraid that this year the orange jersey will go there to the coountry that can manage best fit. Willem van Oranje was the Dutchman!
Rekreatur 2017 became a reality and all of you who doubted to its twelve repetition I have to disapoint you – you bet on the wrong horse. And above all it will be DIFFERENT!
