As  the following team of this year Rekreatura legendary ‘Naklo Team’ has signed. We will always remember the guys that crossed the 2014 Finsh line in Kranj on ‘pushmeup bike’! And even more – at a charity auction they collected a good amount that tahey donated to their friend Sandi as participation to attempt  ParaOlympic games in Rio de Janeiro. Sandi has traveled there and in achieved a great result in marathon.

The time is coming when I have to check this year Rekreatur routes. For now, they have been inspected by my mouse pointer and right finger. And again I realised that when I put myrself into a ‘tourist-cycling traveler’ I find again and again the beauty of the nature I’m living in.

Applications are of course still open and why not – join us.

Oranje Tulpen 2016 - klanci jim niso ravno 'in'Rekreatur 2017 tracks are finally selected. Their main feature is that we have never cycled so little! In total we will do only 260 km and about 2100 m ascents! We will replace lack of kilometers with the adventures and attractions in the checkpoints and along the road.
This year we have added some additional tasks that you will be awaited to do them.
Applications are open and the first team Kranjska klobasa has already found the courage to join us.

This year, the Dutch are predicting an even stronger participation and it is obvious that they are targeting the overall victory – Rekreatur 2017 orange jersey! Will they succeed?

From 01 February onwards  it is already possible to register team on this year’s Rekreatur. It will start on 24 August 2017 in the old citty center of Kranj. With this step we are consolidating the status of Kranj as regional cycling-tourism center. The route of the prologue and three stages are for now informative and same as last year. Soon we they will be changed in order to visit the other hidden beauties of Gorenjska region

Although there were ‘only’ 45 participants in last Rekreatur we had a great time. This year we intend to improve that atmosphere with many new actions.

Rekreatur 2016 - Start!On the 15th of February we opened the applications window for this year’s Rekreatur! Expect something special yet again as we havenever been so high! Golte is a popular hotel & mountain resort in the summer as well as the winter. We are confident of a warm welcome and have organised lots of types of accommodation packages for different prices and comfort levels. You can also be pampered at the Hotel Golte, with a four-star atmosphere, apartment houses and alpine mountain huts. So … are you tempted? You are very welcome to join us!

zahvalaCOVID19. is main and the only reason taht our plans are reposit to 2022. Every other detail of our plan remains!

Seven years ago Rekreatur team took part in the first promotional cycling tour along the Sava River, organized by the Sava Commission, which takes care of the development of the Sava River Basin. Two cyclists from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia took part in the promotion of cycling throughout the route. And as soon as I first contacted them, I felt  that establishing a Zelenci – Bohinj – Belgrade cycling route have enormous potential for the development of cycling and business opportunities throughout the Sava River Basin.
Like all great ideas, this one swarms very slowly throgh my mind and after a lot of coordinations an discussing with public institutions and the private sector of the entire area that cold be involved in the preparations…
I DECIDED – in 2021 we will do promotional cycling modeled after the experiences of Rekreatur and will cycle the entire route with the aim of obtaining all the necessary information and experience that will be necessary for SAVA Tour 2022 to be organized and carried out just like Rekreatur was!

Application on Rekreatur 2015 just begin.

On 1st  March 2015 at 0:00 a.m. we started collecting new applications for this year’s Rekreatur. The first one came from team “Spirit of Golnik” and I am particularly pleased to see ‘father’ Igor on the team again, the oldest living Rekreatur legend! He has taken part in all of them and as I recall he said on the fifth : “This  one will be my last :)”.

The pace of this year’s applications is slower than previous years. Obviously teams are taking time to analyze the possibilities in detail for winning this year’s orange jersey. Last year’s Orange Jersey winner, Hitre Nogice (Fast Legs) were the second team to register this year.

And finally for now, important information for all of you who will join us with campers. Parking for campers will be provided.

Rekreatur 2006 / Finish Kranj - Legendary team ekipa LEGEND na Cilju v KranjuThe hopes and expectations of the Rekreatur organizers have finally materialized. We have now agreed the location and hospitality packages with our hosts, Sava Hotels & Resorts for our Rekreatur cyclists. So, those of you planning to be our guests this year, please make a note in your diary for “20.-23.08.2015, Rekreatur – POMURJE region“.
Where specifically?
You will get the details as soon as we have the prices for acomodation, additional evening events and the answer to the most serious logistical problem – how to get the shortest route to the 3rd stage Finish in Kranj? As this is the 10th Rekreatur, it should finish exactly where we finished in late 2006.

... in fact we don’t know where :).  But the fact that the FIRST and FIFTH began in Pomurje, does not exclude the possibility that the TENTH will also start from there. Where did I get this idea from? Well, in my spare time I also work as an Ambassador of the  Republic of Our Prlekija (Prlekija Region).   At the last regional board meeting, I was tasked by Milan, our Chairman, to bring the Rekreatur bike race 2015 to his doorstep in the picturescue land of Prlekija. But he did ask me not to turn up on his “actual” doorstep, otherwise known as the “Presidential Palace”!!

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about his challenge and I reckon the beautiful plains of  Prlekija will be a real balm for Rekretaur cyclists!  Check this out, the cycling will  LOOK LIKE THIS. Wow.. the video shows one of the trips that we will prepare for you in 2015!
