1st Stage / longitudinal profile

For the first time in Rekretaur history the course will run beyond Slovenian borders! This will happen on August 22nd 2014 when cyclists will pass Rateče and onto Italian soil. The course on the Italian side mostly follows  the (57 km) ‘Ciclovia Alpina’ cycling lane. The route follows the old railway line and so if we take into account that a train cannot handle sharp turns and steep ascents, then we can guarantee you a smooth and relaxed journey!

The cherry on top of the cake will be when you reach the highest point of Rekreatur (Sella Nevea – 1189 m.a.s.l).  The rise to its top is 18 km long with 6% – 12% slope. But I ashure you that you will enjoy in fantastic view on the  landscape arround you.  And when you are done with the cycling, we will offer you an active rest with evening entertainment.
