3rd Stage, longitudinal profile
Every time we are amazed how hard cyclists push their sore muscles and painful backsides in the 3rd stage of Rekreatur. Irrespective of the weather or how hard it may be, they cycle like pure professionals, focussing only on the finish line. This stage probably provides the most laughter, unexpected stops and tactical thinking. This time we decided the route according to the most beautiful places in Gorenjska. The view of Martuljek group jewels in Gozd Martuljek, the wonderfully renovated museum of Stara Sava in Jesenice (Check point 6), a touch of the picture perfect lake Bled in Zaka, glorious houses in Linhart square, old Radovljica (Check point 7), the close view of Gorenjska region through the road from Podvin to Trstenik and last but not least, the old city centre of Kranj that was renovated completely in 2013.
